"Boss 49" Ford, Supercharged
392 Windsor, 5 speed.
As seen on V8TV www.v8tvshow.com
and in Street Thunder, Custom Rodder, Rod and Custom, and Super Rod magazines

This car was brought to us looking for improved handling and braking.
The suspension
consisted of soft leaf springs with air bags.
We designed a total package combining one off fabicated components and a few
purchased items.
Suspension now consists of Bilstein coilovers,
custom front and rear sway bars,
triangulated 4 bar rear suspension, tru-trac limited slip differential.
This transformed the car into a corner carving machine, while maintaining it's
good ride quality.
Brakes were a vacuum power assist with a 6" booster
recessed into the firewall,
along with 6 and 4 piston wilwoods and 13" front, 12" rear rotors.
Pedal effort was extremely high in a panic stop situation.
The root cause was too small of a booster.
Due to it being recessed into the firewall we were unable to install a larger
one.
We've had great success with the Hydroboost systems from Hydratech,
so we got one of their systems.
We machined a custom round mounting plate to look proper when installed in the
round recess in the firewall
and ran the plumbing neatly out if the way. The
car now stops immediatly with minimum effort.
