Schwartz Performance finishes 2nd in Real Street Eliminator Musclecar Class!

Sunday morning started out with Schwartz Performance tied for the overall lead in the musclecar class. Jeff was leading in the Auto-x portion with a 38.900 second lap to a 38.919 second lap for Randy Johnson; tied at 4.7 seconds in the launchbox with Randy and in 3rd place in the horsepower challenge, 605RWHP for Randy to 300RWHP for Jeff.

After holding the Auto-X and launchbox leads all day Saturday, Jeff was unable to find his groove again on Sunday on a very slick track. After Randy laid down a blistering 38.20 second lap, it was all but over. Jeff fought back hard, but could not best his time of 38.90 seconds from Saturday.

From 1 RSE winning shop to another, congrats to Randy Johnson for a hard fought victory! We'll be back next year gunning for your crown.

I am editing videos today, maybe the next few days, but please stay tuned to our YouTube Page and I'll post the videos as they are edited.

Good Guys Autocross

Chris Jacobs, driving his 1966 Chevelle equipped with a Schwartz Performance chassis, set the best overall time of anyone at the Good Guys Auto-X event this past weekend in Des Moines, IA. Not only did he beat all other competitors, he also ran faster than any of the vendor cars did!

Way to go Chris!

Jeff Schwartz drove project "Temptress" to third place overall at the Motorstate Challenge in Michigan.

Our 1972 Chevy Vega, project "Flying Turd" did well at the event as well, finishing 9th in the autocross event.
It was its first time out, and was driven 180 miles back after racing!

Our Ultima GTR had fun too, driving to and from the event, a round-trip total of nearly 400 miles.

For the first time, three Schwartz chassis-equipped A-body cars were competing against each other at the same event.
Chris Jacob's Chevelle, Mike Holleman's El Camino, and Grant Craft's Tempest.
Mike Holleman drove his El Camino over 1000 miles each way to the event, winning the "Farthest Driven" award!
