SUPERCHARGED POWER FROM THE C7 CORVETTE ZR1!

As the heart of the Corvette ZR1, the supercharged / dry sump LT5 6.2L SC is the most powerful engine ever offered in a regular-production Chevrolet. It features a more-efficient, more-compact 2.65L supercharger, which is 64% larger displacement than the LT4. The LT5 is based on the same Gen V Small-Block architecture as the LT1/4 engine, with several unique features designed to support its higher output and the greater cylinder pressures created by forced induction. They include Rotocast A356T6 aluminum cylinder heads that are stronger and handle heat better than conventional castings, lightweight titanium intake valves and stronger forged aluminum pistons.
The LT5 comes in a DRY SUMP configuration only.

LT5 6.2L CONNECT & CRUISE POWERTRAIN SYSTEM
Leveraging direct injection and continuously variable valve timing, all of the LT engines deliver broad power bands with great low-end torque and high-rpm horsepower. The 8L90-E’s smaller steps between gears and quick upshifts optimize the engines’ power delivery — and in quick-shifting order. This component-matched system is unique in that it requires the use of specific parts to operate.
